Compounded medications are prepared only pursuant to a patient-specific prescription and are not FDA-approved.
Yes. All compounded medications require a valid prescription from a licensed healthcare provider — physician, nurse practitioner, dentist, veterinarian, or other authorized prescriber. We cannot dispense compounded medications without a prescription.

In many cases, yes. If a medication has been discontinued by the manufacturer, we may be able to prepare a similar formulation using pharmaceutical-grade ingredients, provided a valid prescription is on file and the formulation is permitted under current regulations. Availability depends on ingredient access and regulatory status.
Coverage varies by insurance plan. Many insurance plans do not cover compounded medications, though some do with a valid prescription. We recommend contacting your insurance provider to verify coverage. We can provide documentation to support your insurance claim if needed.

Sterile compounding is not offered while the sterile compounding permit is pending. Standards will be published here after the permit is approved.

Yes! Veterinary compounding is available for pets and other animals. We work with licensed veterinarians to create flavored chews, transdermal gels, capsules, and liquids for dogs, cats, and other animals. A valid veterinary prescription is required.
